The peak seen through a zoom. The last volcanic eruption in Tenerife was in 1909.
It lasted only ten days.
Las Cañadas Cable car

The cable car takes you up from 2,356 m to 3,555 m (1,199m altitude difference) in 8 minutes. The cabin takes max. 38 persons.

Sparrow Gnaphalium teydeum
"Where birds do not reach - Donde las aves no llegan". Yet, we saw this sparrow in an altitude of almost 3700 meters.

Only a few plants have been able to adapt to the extreme conditions at this altitude. One of them is Gnaphalium teydeum.
